Since there has been a massive demand for Cannon's and plenty questions about it, it sucks that we only have one single world to share with the whole community hence why adding a cannon would not be viable unless its behaviour gets changed to fit in the server, so I thought about a few ideas and mechanics for cannon to be working properly without interrupting other players
Mechanics:
Dwarf multi cannon to be only working as single combat mechanic in many area's such as slayer creature locations/dungeons. This means no random shots are being fired around to every npc. The solution is that cannons will only start firing on the npc of which the player is in combat with at that time from the first weapon hit and on. Same mechanism applies to multi combat zones to not ruin other players gameplay experiences. This mechanic has to be tested at first though due to the slow rotating of cannon since it was intended to be a multi-shot firing machine every game tick possible where it spotted npc's. Perhaps increasing its rotation speed to 2x could help.
Black knights could be one of the few exceptions where the area should be instanced else it will be quite the issue for other players doing diaries. With cannon being single combat at black knights as explained above its not worth to use it here at all since black knights have low hp and the diary completion time would still take as long as not using a cannon.
Cannons should also be allowed to be placed down as intended inside the Corporeal beast cave, but unlike osrs's unlimited quantities, it should be limited to 3 Cannon's max in Battle-Scape.
And obviously Cannon has some of his own area restrictions, of which are mainly solo bosses such as Zulrah, Vorkath, DKS etc. GWD also has a restriction. A cannon should not be possible to placed down in those Solo boss, GWD area's and Slayer tower by any means. This should be looked into further and get tweaked by the staff team, because there are plenty of restricted area's and/or area's where Cannons should not be placed as the server layout is different to osrs.
Smithing Quality of Life and smithing cannonballs:
Smithing higher level bars overall is an insanely slow process and thus should require half the coal to smith the desired bar.
Explaination:
-Runite bar: 1 runite ore and 4 Coal
-Adamantite bar: 1 adamantite ore and 3 Coal
-Mithril bar: 1 Mithril ore and 2 Coal
-Steel bar: 1 Iron ore and 1 Coal
Cannonballs:
The smithing process of Cannonballs should require 1 Steel bar per 10 Cannonballs, speed interval should be set at 1 tick equally to using the furnace to create bars.
Within the addition of a properly working Dwarf Multi-Cannon system as explained in this thread, we could keep all players happy and make Grotesquare Guardians a viable boss again since they drop the dust which upgrades Cannonballs stats.
