When raids was released I thought it was going to be a good PVM challenge, but after doing 30+ raids you know everything and the raids become pretty easy. It be great if you could add a harder version of Raids for those of us who want some high level, challenging pvm content.

CHALLENGE RAIDS

Challenge raids would be the harder version of regular raids. Death will be a lot more punishing but the payoff is a higher chance at a reward.

  • Replace Long Raids with Challenge raids.
  • Each individual Player in a challenge would count as 3 players of the same stats when scaling the raid (so if it was a 3 man team the raid would be scaled as if it were a 9 man regular raid).
  • If you die inside of a challenge raid you would lose all of your individual points.
  • Inside challenge raids you'd get 2x more points per hit (this works out at about a 50% more points p/hour over regular raids after factoring in the additional time lost from doing more pre-olm bosses, assuming you don't die)

  • Everybody inside olms room should be susceptable to Olms attacks regardless of how spread out they are. In regular raids you can spread out and olm only attacks people in certain area's, this shouldn't be a thing inside of Challenge Raids.

  • Challenge raids should have the same order every single time. Order should be:

Muttadile > Lizardman Shaman > Vasa Nastiro > Resource Room > Tekton > Skeletal Mystics > Vanguards > Resource Room > Olm

Rewards

Additional Rewards from challenge raids on top of regular raids rewards would be:

  • Tekton/Vanguard/Muttadile/Vasa Nistirio pets

  • Xerics Guard Cape (buyable from a shop once you have over 50 Challenge Raids KC)
  • Xerics Warrior Cape (buyable from a shop once you have over 100 Challenge Raids KC)
  • Xerics Sentinel Cape (buyable from a shop once you have over 200 Challenge Raids KC)
  • Xerics General Cape (buyable from a shop once you have over 500 Challenge Raids KC)
  • Xerics Champion Cape (buyable from a shop once you have over 1000 Challenge Raids KC)

Other Additions

  • For both regular/challenge raids there should be a bank chest in the final resource room. In this chest you'd be able to deposit/withdraw items except for potions & food.

Making an inventory of raids potions sucks when you only have 4 inventory spaces, so the banking of items would let us make inventory space for whenever we're preparing for olm. It'd also give us the oppertunity to bank items we needed for the pre-olm bosses but dont need for olm (crush/stab weapon, salve amulet and so on).
