Today's update focuses on ironman mode, with the exception of master clue scrolls! These mini-quests will help break apart the Legends Guild Shop so that some of the items previously found there are easier and quicker to obtain. These changes will also help the future hard mode that has been discussed on and off before ironman mode was even released.

Master Clue Scrolls
Master clue scrolls can now be purchased from the Boss Slayer Rewards shop for 500 points, Unlike other clues, each master clue will only reward one item from the drop table. The blood hound pet has a 1 in 1,000 chance of being obtained, with drop rate boosts applying.
Other clues have also been updated, leaving the only items you can't obtain from clues being the H1-H5 colored armour.
Dragon Slayer
A short Dragon Slayer mini-quest has been added. This mini-quest is rather quick, focusing directly on fighting the green dragon Elvarg.
The shop for completing Dragon Slayer contains the following items: rune armour, green d'hide armour, mystic robes of all colors, amulet of power, proselyte armour, splitbark armour, and Fremennik helms excluding Neitiznot.
Lost City
A short Lost City mini-quest has been added. The mini-quest focuses on killing zombies to obtain an axe so that you can ultimately fight the tree spirit. Like OSRS, the items you can take with you to Entrana are limited.
The shop for completing Lost City contains the following items: dragon longsword, dragon dagger(p++), dragon battleaxe, dragon mace, and hunters' crossbow.
Monkey Madness
A short Monkey Madness mini-quest has been added. This mini-quest is rather quick, focusing directly on fighting the Jungle demon. Like OSRS, it can melee from two tiles away and uses all three blast spells.
The shop for completing Monkey Madness contains the following items: dragon scimitar, black and mithril knives, mithril darts, and blood runes.

Behind the Scenes: Hard Mode
While in need of a more proper name (possibly just group ironman), hard mode will have many similarities to ironman. One of the key differences will be that unlike ironman, you will be able to trade between other hard mode accounts.
Our original hard mode from the 742 era was essentially normal mode with lower XP rates, and with being able to trade normal accounts, there wasn't really much more that could have been done to make it more challenging. With some inspiration from a recent update on another OSRS server, it makes much more sense to limit trading to only other hard modes.
Limiting trading to only other hard modes allows for limited shops, certain mini-quests for items, and adjusted coin drop sizes. Where normal mode's combat XP and economy is more relaxed, hard mode would have a higher range of items player's would need to make or trade due to the limited shop item availability found on the ironman mode, along with no Grand Exchange.
